Greetings Lake Area Technical College staff,

We’re very excited to announce that Lake Area Technical College has partnered with META Teletherapy to implement a comprehensive digital mental wellness platform for students.

META connects students with counselors via a mobile app for confidential and secure video, voice, and chat sessions.

All Lake Area Technical College students are eligible for online counseling

• The META mobile app is available to all students
• META providers also accept insurance and take credit cards
• Students can connect to a nationwide network of licensed providers

META includes mental/emotional support content

• Buzz is a feature on the app with weekly articles and videos for students

A digital marketing campaign, including student-directed email and social media posts, will begin this week encouraging students to download the app and connect with a counselor.

The META app is free to download and allows student access to providers on the platform throughout the year, including over school breaks.
