We’re very excited to announce that Prairie View A&M University has partnered with META Teletherapy to implement a comprehensive digital mental wellness platform for students.

META connects students with licensed counselors via a mobile app for confidential and secure video, voice, and chat sessions.

All PVAMU students are eligible for online counseling

• The META mobile app is available to all students
• PVAMU will cover the costs of a limited number of student counseling sessions
• Students can choose to work with any counselor they want

META includes mental/emotional support content

• Buzz is a feature on the app with weekly articles and videos for students

A digital marketing campaign, including student-directed email and social media posts, will encourage students to download the app and connect with a counselor.

The META app is free to download and allows student access to providers on the platform throughout the year, including over school breaks.
