Texas Woman’s University is Offering Online Mental Health Counseling Services to Students at its Houston Campus through META Teletherapy
Texas Woman’s University (TWU), the nation’s largest university system focused on women, has partnered with META Teletherapy, the leading mental health platform for schools, to bring safe, accessible counseling services to students at their Houston campus.
While in the META app, TWU students can search META’s marketplace of licensed and vetted mental health providers, including counselors, therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
Student can narrow their search by a variety of provider characteristics, such as gender, therapy style, and language, so that students can select a provider they feel comfortable working with.
META was built with complete privacy and security in mind so students can feel safe connecting to a counselor for sessions. TWU is covering the costs for six counseling sessions for a limited time.
Students can also use insurance or pay out-of-pocket. META includes self-service content delivered weekly to the Buzz feature within the app to keep students engaged year-round.
