Odessa College Providing Counseling Services to Students through META

Odessa College, a public junior college in Texas, is the latest institution to partner with META, the leading mental health marketplace platform, to provide private counseling services to their students.

Students download the META app, choose a counselor, and receive chat, video, or voice counseling through the privacy and convenience of their smartphones. The app presents available online counselors for immediate connection, or students can leave a message to schedule a future session.

Odessa College students connect with licensed and vetted mental health providers of their choice on META. Students can filter counselors based on their preferences for gender, therapy style, ethnicity, language and more.

Odessa College is covering the costs for a limited number of student sessions. META counselors also accept insurance and offer sliding-scale pricing. META counselors respond to student messages within hours and are available for sessions morning, days, evenings, and weekends. META counselors have a stellar reputation with users, carrying an average rating of 4.8/5.0. 

By partnering with META, Odessa College receives a robust mental health outreach program, complete with self-service content directed at students and an ongoing awareness campaign encouraging students to take care of their emotional and mental well-being.
