Hampton University Offering Online Counseling Platform through META Teletherapy
“META will help us address the growing demand for accessible counseling services,” said Director of Hampton’s Student Counseling Center, Dr. Kristie Norwood. “Thanks to META and the TMCF, our students will be able to reach a counselor of their choice from the comfort of their home.”
META enables students to filter providers by a variety of characteristics, such as gender, ethnicity, therapy style, and language, so that students can choose a provider they feel comfortable working with. They also can connect with providers available on evenings and weekends to accommodate a college student’s schedule.
By partnering with META, Hampton University receives a robust mental health program, complete with self-service content directed at students and an ongoing awareness campaign encouraging students to take care of their emotional and mental well-being.
