Colleges and Universities Can Expand Mental Health Services Through $280M in Additional Funding of Two New Federal Grants
The Department of Education is inviting applicants for two grant programs to increase access to mental health services through the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA).
META has partnered with hundreds of campuses, state and regional education compacts, and non-profits to expand access to mental health providers. These fiscal appropriations align with our mission to make mental health services readily and easily available to all students.
The grants include hundreds of millions of dollars to increase access to mental health service providers for students in institutions of higher education. State and Local educational agencies can apply with eligible institutions of higher education for the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant program.
We encourage all colleges and universities to take advantage of this Federal funding so students can receive the mental health resources they need to thrive.
